NIGERIA'S CIVIL AVIATION
TRADE UNION he National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE) is an affiliate of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF). In 1978, it was registered as the National Union of Air Transport Services Employees (NUATSE). In the restructuring of industrial unions that took place in 1996, the union became NUATE. All staff of commercial, private, chartered airlines, parastatals and government owned companies in civil aviation, aviation handling companies, travel agencies and other allied companies, (except airline pilots, engineers and those designated as management projection) fall within the jurisdictional scope of NUATE. |
